The Motherhood Collective
Volume 2
2.25.15
This is where some extremely talented photographer friends created “The Motherhood Collective”, a collaborative personal project.
I believe that all photographers share the same regret. Not getting in front of the camera nearly enough. Once a month, we will be forced to get in front of the camera with our children to document moments together. Welcome to February, volume 2.
Dear Jacob,
Since the very beginning, your new life has blessed ours with so much surprise & joy…and if I’m being honest, struggle. But the struggle is a part of the story.
From biting into the blue filled cupcake that I was completely convinced was pink…to finding out later that IRONICALLY I couldn’t eat cupcakes (or hardly ANY carb for that matter). And then (thanks to my awesome body) having to implement bi-daily insulin shots for blood sugar issues…carb counting, finger pricking, food logging, weekly NSTs to make sure you were safe…
My sweet little man; thank you for teaching me how brave I can be for you.
For this reason, I still call you my little sugar baby.
You have been worth every struggle & every sacrifice.
When you smile, you smile with your eyes.
You still giggle in your sleep.
Happiness is who you are.
Ticklish from head to toe.
Rolls for miles.
Teething fiercely.
Because you are my second baby, I know better.
To cherish the moments more.
To cherish the trials more.
Because I know you will never be as little as you are right now at this very moment.
You are so loved & so cherished little one.
-Mommy-
